REHABILITATION SERVICES

Situational Assessment provides a systematic observation process for evaluating work-related behaviors in a controlled work environment. Although any type of task or situation may be used, real work is most often used in order to add relevance.

Psychometric Testing utilizes standardized instruments, typically, paper and pencil tasks, that measure aspects of achievement, interests and aptitudes. Common test instruments used include the Wide Range Achievement Test 3, the Stanford Diagnostic Reading Test, the Reading Free Vocational Interest Inventory, the California Occupational Preference System, the Non Reading Aptitude Test Battery and the General Aptitude Test Battery.

Case Management oversee the client's vocational services, prepares individualized written rehabilitation plans, provides supportive counseling as necessary, and disseminates information to significant others.

Vocational Counseling obtains information from and provides occupational information to individuals, assists individuals in understanding vocational assets and liabilities in choosing a suitable occupation. Includes assistance in making decisions and changes.

Supported Employment Functional Assessment is the process of appraisal which can be used to measure impairment, disability, or a handicapping condition. It is the first step in the supported employment process. The functional assessment is utilized to direct supported employment services.

Work Adjustment Services is a treatment/training process to assist individuals in learning the meaning, demands and responsibilities of work. Remediation of work deficits and development of functional capacities in order to assist individuals in realizing their full vocational potential.
